Course Reopening on Thursday 1st April 2021
As you are aware, golf courses will reopen on Thursday 1st April 2021. Following engagement with the relevant Government departments and agencies, Golf Ireland has issued a Return to Golf Protocol which will apply to the initial phase (until 12th April) of the reopening.
In this initial phase only members may play and online booking is essential prior to arrival at the course. As groups playing on golf courses are confined to a maximum of two households we will open the timesheet at 7.00 pm on Thursday 25th March for booking of 2 balls at 8 minute intervals. To allow larger groups to book would mean having 10 minute intervals and therefore fewer tee times per day. As the majority of our members are the only golfers in their households we believe that this method will enable you to play as much golf as possible.
Please note that during this initial phase until 12th April, members may play only once at weekends, i.e. either Saturday or Sunday, so that as many members as possible are able to enjoy weekend golf.
Please read the information below very carefully. The rules are similar to those we observed in May and June 2020.
As previously mentioned, the timesheet will open at 7.00 pm on Thursday 25th March for tee times from Thursday 1st April – Sunday 4th April. It will then open at 7.00 pm on Sunday 28th March and each following Sunday for the appropriate booking interval.
If you find that you are unable to play you should remove your name from the time sheet as soon as possible.
Members are asked to read and follow the full Protocol issued by Golf Ireland.
